This guide is for anyone buying their first human hair bundles online, whether for personal use or a small resale order.

Quick answer: Start by picking a texture that matches or complements your own hair, then choose a length that suits your height and the look you want. For a first sew-in, two to three bundles usually cover an average head, and you can add a closure or frontal to finish the hairline. SUVITA HAIR sells 100% Remy Indian human hair in raw, virgin and Remy forms, all made to order in Delhi and shipped worldwide with DHL Express.
What kind of hair is right for you
SUVITA HAIR offers three types of human hair bundles, each collected and prepared differently. The choice between them comes down to how much processing you want and what textures and shades are available.
Raw hair
- From a single donor per bundle, never chemically processed or steam-set.
- Sold in the donor’s own natural texture and shade only.
- Best if you want the most natural, unprocessed look and feel.
Virgin hair
- From 2–3 donors matched for texture and strand diameter, never coloured, bleached or permed.
- Available in a wider range of textures and shades than raw hair.
- Good if you want to colour or style the hair yourself later.
Remy hair
- From 3–5 donors, with every strand collected so the cuticle points the same way, root to tip.
- Less likely to mat or tangle because the cuticles are aligned.
- A practical middle ground if you want variety in texture and shade without heavy processing.
All three are 100% Indian human hair made into bundles on a double machine weft: raw is single-donor and unprocessed, virgin is unprocessed hair from two to three donors, and Remy is cuticle-aligned hair from three to five donors. Browse the bundles collection to see what is currently available.
Choosing a texture
Your texture choice should either match your own hair or give you the style you want. At SUVITA HAIR, textures fall into two groups: natural patterns and steam-set patterns.
Natural patterns
- Straight: Looks the same length as measured; straightens with heat and returns when washed.
- Natural wavy and natural curly: Keep their pattern over time, like your own hair would.
Steam-set patterns
- Body wave, loose wave, deep wave, water wave, curly and kinky curly: Uniform across bundles and hold their pattern well with care.
- These styles tend to look shorter than the actual length, especially curls and kinks.
If you are unsure, a hair guide with texture photos can help you decide. You can also send a photo of your own hair on WhatsApp for advice on texture, length and quantity.
Picking the right length
Length is personal, but it helps to know how inches translate to where the hair sits on your body. A 14-inch bundle reaches the shoulder, 18 inches sits around the shoulder blades, and 24 inches falls to mid-back. These are approximate, and curly or wavy textures will look shorter than the same length in straight hair.
Use the hair length chart to picture each length on the body, and remember that longer bundles mean fewer ends at the bottom, so you may want an extra bundle for fullness in lengths from 26 inches up.
How many bundles do you need
For a full sew-in on an average adult head, the number of 100 g bundles you need depends on the length. Shorter lengths (10–14 inches) usually need two bundles, while 16–18 inches calls for two to three. At 20–24 inches, three to four bundles give a natural to full look. Lengths from 26 to 34 inches generally need four bundles, and five if you want extra fullness at the ends.
If you are adding a closure or frontal, that covers part of the head, so you may be able to use one fewer bundle. Still, it is better to have a little extra than to end up with thin ends.
Closures and frontals
A closure or frontal finishes the hairline and protects your own hair at the parting. A closure (4x4 to 5x5 inches) covers the parting area at the crown and is beginner-friendly to install. A frontal (13x4 or 13x6 inches) runs ear to ear along the hairline and gives more parting freedom, but needs more care and skill to install.
Both are hand-ventilated onto Swiss lace. Visit the closures and frontals collection to compare sizes and styles.
Deciding on a wig or extensions instead
If sewing in bundles feels like too much for a first try, a lace wig is a complete head of hair on a cap, made from two 100 g bundles behind a hand-ventilated lace frontal or closure. Wigs are ready to wear and easy to remove, which makes them a good low-commitment option.
For something quicker, clip-in extensions let you add length or volume in minutes and take them off at the end of the day. Tape-in, keratin tip, nano tip and ponytail extensions are also available if you prefer a semi-permanent fit. See the extensions collection for all methods.
Care and lifespan
With proper care, every quality of hair from SUVITA HAIR lasts three to five years. That includes raw, virgin and Remy bundles, closures, frontals and wigs. The attachment method affects how often you need to re-install, not how long the hair itself lasts. Tape-ins need re-taping every six to eight weeks, while clip-ins can be worn and removed daily.
Follow the care guide for washing, detangling and storing your hair to keep it looking its best.
Frequently asked questions
- How many bundles do I need for a full head?
- For an average adult head, two bundles cover lengths up to 14 inches, three bundles suit 16 to 24 inches, and four bundles are recommended for 26 to 34 inches. Add one more if you want extra fullness at the ends.
- Should I choose raw, virgin or Remy hair?
- Raw hair is from a single donor and unprocessed, virgin is from 2–3 donors and never chemically treated, and Remy is from 3–5 donors with aligned cuticles. Each has different textures and shades available, so pick based on what look you want rather than assuming one is better.
- Can I colour human hair bundles?
- Yes, virgin and Remy hair can be coloured, bleached or permed. Raw hair has not been processed, so it will take colour well, but always do a strand test first.
- What is the difference between a closure and a frontal?
- A closure covers the parting area at the crown and is smaller (4x4 to 5x5 inches). A frontal runs ear to ear along the hairline (13x4 or 13x6 inches) and gives more parting options but needs more care to install.
- How long does shipping take?
- In-stock items are dispatched in 2–3 working days after payment. Made-to-order items take 3–5 days of production first. DHL Express transit is five to seven business days worldwide, or seven to ten for remote areas. Orders over $999 qualify for free delivery.
