What is transparent lace?
A clear Swiss lace, a little thicker and sturdier than HD lace. It is the standard lace for closures, frontals and lace wigs.
Is transparent lace good for dark skin?
It works on any skin tone once tinted to match. Without tinting it suits lighter skin tones best; for deeper skin tones with no tinting, HD lace blends more easily.
How do I tint transparent lace?
Before installing, spray a lace tint or dab foundation or powder one shade lighter than your scalp on the underside of the lace, let it dry and test it against your skin in daylight.
Why is transparent lace cheaper than HD?
HD lace is a finer, more expensive material, so the price list sets HD pieces higher. The hair is the same.
How long does a transparent lace piece last?
The hair lasts 3–5 years with proper care. Transparent lace stands up to repeated installs better than HD, but every lace wears with use.

Transparent Lace Closures, Frontals and Wigs
Transparent lace is a slightly thicker Swiss lace than HD. It is easier to handle and to re-install, it tints easily with foundation, powder or a lace tint spray, and it suits lighter skin tones straight out of the packet. It is the lower-priced lace on our list.
